Frog-Job · Group lessons
Online German classes in small groups
Learn with up to 6 others at the same level, with the same teacher and the same learning plan. An online group class shares the cost, so it is more affordable than private lessons. In return, you follow the class's fixed schedule and get less speaking time of your own than in one-to-one lessons.
Class details
Not sure which level you are at? Frog-Job will help you find out in a consultation before placing you in a class, free of charge.
What a group gives you
Some things you cannot get on your own
The lower price is the first reason, but not the only one. Here are four things a group class offers that private lessons don't.
Speaking with different people
If you only ever hear one voice, a new one can make you freeze. A group gives you many people to practise speaking and listening with.
Learn from classmates' questions and mistakes
Classmates often ask the very question you are wondering about, or make the same mistake you tend to make. Hearing the teacher explain it, you get it straight away.
A fixed timetable keeps the rhythm
When you study alone, it is easy to postpone. With a class waiting, it is harder to skip, and regular study is what brings progress.
People in the same boat
Your classmates are all Vietnamese learners of German, some in Vietnam and some already in Germany, so you can share much more than just the language.
A single lesson
How a 90-minute lesson works
Most of the time is for learners to speak, not for the teacher to lecture.
Warm-up
The whole class talks in German about a light topic and reviews the previous lesson.
New material
The teacher introduces the vocabulary and structures of the lesson, explaining the hard parts in Vietnamese.
Pair and group practice
The longest part: role-plays, questions and answers, discussions. The teacher drops in on each group to correct.
Wrap-up and homework
A summary of the mistakes the class often makes, plus practice to do before the next lesson.
Group or one-to-one
A straight comparison with one-to-one lessons
Neither option is better in every way. The two cards below show what you gain and what you give up with each.
Learning in a small group
Group class fees are per course; one-to-one fees are per month.
Classes running
Classes by level

Can't see your level? A new class opens once 4 learners have signed up. Frog-Job will let you know when a suitable class opens; all you need to do is leave your details. Or you can start with one-to-one lessons and switch to a group class later.
